(Geeks are no more popular now than 20 years ago. 20 years ago, when Australia was the chic thing. Right, Mr Dundee? :D )

3. I was hanging with nerds over 3 decades ago.
Back when computers had HUUUUGE tape reels and they were the size of a room.

And we programmed them with punchcards, that we punched holes in, on a big thing called a "keypunch machine". Yes, children......

They probably had all of 64K of memory. The IBM 360 was the business computer of the day. Xerox machines were the size of a huge sofa. The number of copies was dialed into what was called a "nixie tube". This was a light bulb with various filaments shaped like digits.

They put signs on the bathroom that said "Artificial Intelligence Lavatory" at MIT.

Am I old yet?

6. And what about dumbass chic?
I'm studying the picture for several minutes, trying to figure out if G-3-3-K is some mathematical formula I should remember, possibly a chemistry equation, maybe even something to do with dehydration synthesis (I remember the words, just not what they mean ;) )....

and then it hit's me...

Oh, that's supposed to be GEEK (then I thought, why not string them on the hideous choker upside down so everyone can read it, I hate geeks! )
