Best Use of Hand Clapping in a Song --
here is one for your consideration:

Cecilia~Simon and Garfunkel
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2vNEXqHo_o

Celia, youre breaking my heart
Youre shaking my confidence daily
Oh, cecilia, Im down on my knees
Im begging you please to come home

Celia, youre breaking my heart
Youre shaking my confidence daily
Oh, cecilia, Im down on my knees
Im begging you please to come home
Come on home

Making love in the afternoon with cecilia
Up in my bedroom (making love)
I got up to wash my face
When I come back to bed
Someones taken my place

Celia, youre breaking my heart
Youre shaking my confidence daily
Oh, cecilia, Im down on my knees
Im begging you please to come home
Come on home

Jubilation, she loves me again,
I fall on the floor and I laughing,
Jubilation, she loves me again,
I fall on the floor and I laughing

13. "Unsquare Dance" by Dave Brubeck
That whole album (Time Out) is outstanding...killer sound too. 1959 was a good year for jazz...Miles Davis's "Kind Of Blue" came out at that same time, recorded in the same studio (by unsung Columbia engineer Fred Plaut.) That old Columbia room had a killer sound...

25. Are you suckin' on chili-dogs behind the Tastee-Freeze?
I've always loved the song, but that line still bugs me. I picture these kids licking and sucking chili-dogs like ice-cream comes, and become nauseous thinking of the buns getting all wet and gooey, until eventually these delicious sandwiches just fall part in their hands. Why are they sucking on them? Why aren't they munching them?

Or is it a reference to oral sex?

This is why I can't read books. I'm stymied by John Cougar Mellencamp lyrics.

26. Johnny Otis - Willie and the Hand Jive
Johnny Otis performs his monster hit "Willie and the Hand Jive" on his 50's TV show. The Three Tons of Joy singing backup. That's Lionel Hampton at the end, too.

Johnny Otis is one original renaissance man. Be it his involvement in political issues or talking red beans and rice, Johnny is the man!
