6. Mmmm...
I'm gonna need more than that to go on.

Oh, wait — you mean, "Well, 'least it don't cost nothin' to scuffle"?

9. Or...
it might've been "Well, it still don't cost nothin' to scuffle."

Either way, James Earl Jones is one hell of an actor, and I just LOVE that film. :)

"You 'n' me, Leon — we can't never lose."

10. I'm grateful that you recommended it to me a long time ago
I love it, too. Unfortunately, I only have it on VHS and the VCR has stopped working. I've been wanting to show it to a kid I know who loves baseball, but his mother is very protective still and that whorehouse scene might be a bit much for her sensibilities. He's eleven.

to "nigger" and stuff?

Dayum! There's only one quote in the IMDb "memorable quotes" section. Gonna have to fix that.

13. Point taken
I gotta watch it again to get some lines. All I can remember are pieces, except for the bit when Esquire Joe knocks over Leon when he slides home.

"Say, boy — does you do this constantly?"

"No, suh. I does it all the time."

Oh, and the bit between Bingo and the redneck pitcher in the 4th of July game... which I'd probably best not repeat here, since I've already used That Word once. :)

14. my favorite scene...
...and I don't know exactly why, is where they are coming into a little town in the car and walking with the car, and people come running to look and little kids are dancing along while the members of the team do their fancy shuffling step. It's really cool.

16. I love how that one starts
with the old guy teachin' 'em how to cakewalk.

"Kick dat mule! Kick it! Kick it!" :D

Best part, though, was all the old towns. Old signs. Old ball yards.

19. The original or the remake?
I liked the original better. The remake with Erik Estrada and Mr. T had major continuity problems.

17. Terms of Endearment...
I made the mistake of seeing that one with my mom and when the daughter died, she whacked me on the back of the head and said (rather loudly for a movie theater if you ask me) "I get to die first you little shit, if you pull this dying before me shit, I will never forgive you"...
ah the wonderful mother/daughter memories :)

20. Yeah CalPeggy's told me that
I often feel suicidal. And she said "if you ever kill your self, I'll kill you"

Kinda redundant really.

Just a way of saying I love you.
Your mom was just saying that. Although kinda roughly.

Khash.
