I just went to my first antique auction!

There was lots of good "junque," but people paid waaaay too much for everything, IMO. I went for the old paintings, but people were paying ridiculous prices for pieces that I thought were worthless.

There were some great old political campaign buttons too, but again, I was out-bid by people with deeper pockets than mine! It was fun, but I don't know where people are getting the money for these "treasures".
