BabyG is HOME for the Summer!!!!
I am one of those dorky parents who loves having her kids home (well for the first week anyway). Also, the bonus of being able to sleep in again. I dropped him off this morning at 7:30, came home and fell asleep on the couch--until he walked in the door at 11:15, all ticked off that I wasn't all bouncy and waiting for him.

This is BabyG (in orange) with his friends and teacher. His teacher calls these four boys the "Rat Pack".

And, Look!! Kittimus and Merlin actually sharing the same chair. Too bad chair is on its way out of the house this weekend.

And, for good measure...WannaB, with her chief spoiler, Poppy. This was at dinner the day she graduated:

And...Kittimus says,"This table is a mess, but man Mama those drugs were good..."

5. Thanks!
I look at the shot of the living room and realize it has become a parking lot of chairs. I've only got one more piece to get rid of and then it should be back to normal. :hi:

6. It's funny because most of our Kittimus pictures look like he
is stoned. He's a blinky boy.

3. That "Rat Pack" looks like trouble.
As it should be. They do get big pretty quickly, don't they.

4. we had a group of boys like that in my church ..they entered the Youth Program
as "The Seventh Grade Boys" everyone knew that really meant Robert, Ethan, James, (and now I can't remember the names of the other 2 but there were five of them)..and then they were the 8th grade boys..the dreaded 9th grade boys..etc.

HOWEVER around the time they turned 16 they had matured significantly. One of the boys lost his father to a heart attack and the other four banded around him and stuck to him like glue throughout the entire ordeal..that was when the term 'the Sophomore boys' started carrying tones of respect.

Today they are all around 22 and have all gone to different colleges. All are fine young men and we love them.

They entertained us outrageously in those early years but have become such wonderful young men

8. That is what these three boys have done for BabyG...
They are like brothers. The one on the end and the one covering his head are the class clowns but they are good kids. You can see that underneath all the hilarity. I love them for what they have done for my son. And the teacher. I can't say enough about him. We tried to bribe him at awards yesterday to move up with the boys.

7. Too quickly. I can't get a pair of jeans that will fit him for more
than a month it seems. They are trouble, in a good way. :) The one covering his head just got his hair buzzed and didn't want me to photograph it.

old shot here:

They will be going into 5th and 3rd grade this fall, but I swear I only just brought them home from the hospital! :o

and don't get me started on BabyG. I can't believe he's a 5th grader now. That is a beautiful picture. I wish we had taken more family pictures.

39. I'll be honest, that is one of the few pics I have been in with the kids. I tend to
run when the camera comes out, even more so as I have gotten even heavier. There are even fewer family videos with me on them. I get behind the camera, not in front.

And WannaB has grown up great. She's going to take the world by storm, eh? :D

Merlin was my father in law's cat. He came to us weighing 29 pounds so this is "light" for him. My father in law fed him whatever he was eating for the day.

20. His daddy was big. I will say that Merlin is a bit overweight. He should be
about 18 pounds. But, if you notice, he's got the tiniest paws. Almost the same size as KP's.

My father is always a ham and everyone takes after him in the family.

23. He is, and I will. I don't know what I would have done this year
without him, although we argue pretty well too. ;) He was WannaB's first ever babysitter, so they are close.

Last Friday he took me out for a beer (Leonard's favorite MGD) and a dance. My father loves to dance.

dance to just about anything. I am so happy that he's found someone to make him happy after all those years of unhappy. Catholic guilt, you know?

Catholic Guilt, gotta love that. That's why I stopped being a catholic a long time ago. Now I am guilt free! :) ;)

My dad's girlfriend is really nice and I like her a lot. They've been dating for quite a while, and both take really good care of each other.
Plus she is going to massage therapy school. Free massages! :bounce:

The kids like her a lot and she is just really laid back.

He and his friends look like they could run you ragged! But that's ok, it'll keep you busy and if it gets too much you can make WannaBe take over for a few hours while you take a nap :)

They are "active", but in a good way. BabyG is already super tanned boy.
WannaB is totally wrapped up in DayDreamin, although they've been good about going to his games.

I'm not that good with kids (not enough patience) but I loved having my daughters around all the time. And when they went back to school I missed them. And now they are adults and have their own lives I miss them even more. We try to stay close, but it's not the same.

And it came as a complete shock, I never thought I'd be that way. Ya never know til it happens.
