7. Johnny depp's performance is most DEFINITELY worthy of an Oscar nod...

Understand that I am NOT your typical JD fan..in fact I think that most of his stuff is so far off the wall as to be unwatchable, however THIS performance is celluloid genius!!! He obviously had such a brilliant time getting to know his character, and portrayed that enthusiasm in EVERY frame that the whole movies was simply a joy to watch....

I will be VERY disappointed if he doesn't win on Feb 29th....

9. Don't expect a pirate movie.

At least, not in the traditional sense of the word. I didn't like it much when I first saw it, but that was mostly because it wasn't what I thought it would be. In retrospect, it was entertaining.
