my back is fucking killing me

i had to sit in one of those crappy high school desks(the ones with the built in chairs) for hours yesterday for the sat. how the hell do people sit in those on a regular basis? my back feels like someone took a baseball bat and just wacked me across the back as hard as they could. i have taken ibuprofen around the clock and it is still absolutely hurting to the point of making me nauseous.

They have them at college too. Not always, but often.

i have some rare spine disorder that i can't pronounce or spell. nothing that usually causes me trouble, but damn this hurts.

4. The classroom for my history class last semester had them.

It was awful. If it hadn't been such a good class I'd have never shown up for that reason alone, haah.

I had one of those a couple semesters ago and it started at 9am. Brutalllll. Damn good class though. Studies in underclass life. It was all about uneven global development.Well worth hauling my ass out of bed at 8am for, ahah.

7. Ice

Get a bag of frozen peas or corn, wrap it in a kitchen towel and lie on your back with the veggies under the spot that hurts. Do this for no more than 10 minutes, and put the bag back in the freezer.

Wait a half hour or more, then apply again. Be careful not to give yourself frostbite. Repeat every hour.

Do not use anything warm on the painful area until the second day. And if it's still making you nauseous, call your doctor tomorrow morning.

8. I don't understand how US schools go with them.

Yes, they're uncomfortable but I figure out these desks are OK if you're right handed but if you're left handed then you're screwed.

Which reminded me something about desks and school. When I went to secondary school we had these old desks, which I swear were new when my dad went to school (he went to the same school as I did) and if our teachers caught any graffiti on them, they'd make us sandpaper the desks down, especially the desks with the offending marks on them.
