Some unexpected political commentary from my 4.5 year old
Shortly before taking him up to bed, we had CSPAN on tv, where they were rebroadcasting Clinton's (frankly excellent) speech from earlier in the day.

"Is this the funny video show?" asked my son.

"No," said I.

"Well," he said, "it looks like it."

Let me repeat that I found her speech to be excellent, and stronger than any speech she's given for many weeks. It was classy and precise and very well constructed to offset most of the tension and (dare I say) bitterness of the primary season.

Still, I thought that my son's observation was delightful.

2. I liked the part where Hillary got hit inadvertantly in the crotch with the baseball bat
during the traditional post-primary pinata bludgeoning.

;)

3. Kids do tell you what they think.
I didn't see the speech, but heard plenty about it from GDP.

7. It's not really related, but your post did remind me of a story...
When my daughter (who will be 21 in 11 days) was 5 years old, Bill Clinton won his first presidential election. One day I was in the bathroom getting ready to go somewhere, listening to my Fleetwood Mac Rumours tape. Kayla was sitting on the counter watching me put on make up. When "Don't Stop" came on, Kayla excitedly said, "Mommy! It's the Bill Clintin song!" (Yes, she pronounced it "Clintin").

One wonders sometimes what goes through the minds of the little ones.
