Oh no! It got so hot so fast that I haven't had a chance to hunt up

all the window fans and now it's too hot to move!

1. my husband just put in one of the air conditioners

and we dragged out the fans earlier.


It's annoying - it's supposed to be pleasant this time of year, not like this. My kid's school has a carnival tomorrow on the hot tarmac.... ick.

I did all my housework this afternoon after work because I wilt in the 90s.

3. Today I appreciated the fact that we never take the air conditioner out of MG Jr.'s window

We should, I suppose--or at least put on a cover--for the winter, but we never do, mainly because we have rather large eaves that protect it. It's never come to any harm, so we just unplug it for the colder months. So today all I had to do was turn it on and--poof--instant cool room. Glad the kid is enjoying it as he snoozes. The rest of the house...blech. And we're going to have 90-degree weather all next week?! Ick.

I don't miss sticky, humid heat. At least here in a dry climate the temp needs to be over 95 before I feel like not moving.
