Vendors required to sell “self-extinguish” cigarettes

http://www.northjersey.com/news/aroundnj/Vendors_required_to_sell_self-extinguish_cigarettes.html

New Jersey has passed a law requiring cigarette vendors to sell “self-extinguish” cigarettes, and it took effect on Sunday — but vendors have a bit of time to change over.

Known as “Fire safe cigarettes,” they are rolled with a type of paper different from that used in regular cigarettes. The “FSC” cigarette is made with paper that has thicker bands that act as “speed bumps” to keep tobacco from continuing to burn unless given a fresh drag of oxygen.

What will they think of next....!!!!

5. American Spirits go out by themselves
I don't know if they have a different kind of paper, but the tobacco itself is packed more densely, and it has no chemical additives, which may also have something to do with it.

If you let one sit for a few minutes, it goes out. Same with those long, skinny brown ones like More.
