So I wanna upgrade my heating and air conditioning this summer...
and wanna know if there are incentives in my area for one particular kind of unit or another. (ie, if I shell out all the dough for solar, etc, are there tax benefits, whatever) and no one has gotten back to me so far.

Am I off for thinking my local and state gov't should know according to your zone which energy saving techniques are best when upgrading? I'd consider wind energy in Chicago, etc...

what gives?

Or maybe what I really wanna say is, how can I best stick it to the man when upgrading my unit?

2. There are federal tax credits for solar heating.
Possibly wind power too.
Google 'tax credits' for your state.

I used to be a pretty amazing internet researcher. I might be able to track something down.
