Things I love about my Fiancee
2 "E"s this time...:P

1) I love the way she looks at me, her eyes, her smile, her look, all make me feel loved and very very special. When she looks at me her eyes convey so much desire and love it is amazing. Who knew I would ever be so lucky to be so loved and desired.

2) her gentleness

3) her kindness

4) her very soft touch that is filled with so much affection

5) her kisses that are so soft and gentle and so erotic and full of passion, desire, and love.

6) Non physically, I love her intelligence and how she uses that intelligence to be so thoughtful of others and how our decisions affect them. She forces me to think about being a better person every day. For example, today we had a talk about my new car and how expensive it was and how bad it is on gas, and she mentioned that I went ahead and bought this car even though there are starving kids in africa... I don't know how to explain how this worked between us, but I know she still loves me, but at the same time was forcing me to think about my own habits and how they effect others. I LOVE that about her. She KNOWS I do care about people and is so kind and gentle about making me think more about my decisions.

7) I love that she cares about other people so much.

8) and I have to admit she is drop dead gorgeous...

39. Maybe I just fell in love alot...
My husband is the third "Love of my life". We've been married for 28 years now and I still remember the feeling of "new" love. It's still very good, but "new" is the best. I'm fortunate enough to have experienced it four times in my life and it was worth the heartache that accompanied three of them.

32. i found it more beneficial to treat people as human beings.
idolizing, worshipping, and pedestal-setting love isn't fair to either party involved.

a more realistic estimation takes into account everything.

i'm not saying anything bad about love, just saying don't put all your eggs in one basket. people are fallible, nothing lasts forever, and we are all finite.

we all fall. but we can control how far and how hard.

So he posts something nice about someone he loves.

Agree with it, or disagree with it with some solid reasoning, but don't attack for the sake of attacking.

30. Nude Love?
Alright, Alright
Ha,I Wrote this next one when I broke up with my girlfriend, cause I slept with her friend and then I dumped the both of them...
And I think everyone can relate to the blues, like they had after I dropped them like two hot rocks,

Nude Love
Moves over me
Like a storm
Since you were born,
Nude Love
There something in your eye,
And I re-A-Lize,
In the sky!,

NUDE LOVE

Wait, hang on I got trouble with the G.,
Krankin-Smoking, here we go,

Tapes available out in the parking lot,
10 dollars for tapes
15 for CD
But drink ya coffee
And then see me, out by my hatch-a-back for copies!,
Nu-oooooooo-ude Love.

13. super creepy
but understandable.

jason - she is a human being and you are putting her on some super high pedestal.

yes, it is nice to love and be loved, but it sounds like it has turned into an infection deep within your soul which affects your very sense of balance and proportion.

is this the first relationship you've ever been in?

are your closer to your teens than your thirties?

dude, you are setting yourself up for some major heartache.

i'm not saying that you guys won't be happily married forever and ever, but on the outside chance that she is as human as you are not letting her be, well, just say falling from the sky is a lot harder than falling from your chair.

NB, cloying, intense relationships (especially if the cloying intensity is more on one person's part than the other) usually end up in resentment.

i'm only saying this because i have felt the way you feel.

60. Have to disagree
He's in the first stage of love - you see your partner as perfect. After that, you begin to see their flaws and either leave, ignore the flaws, or realize that's part of who they are and love them for who they are. But at first, they seem perfect. It's not creepy, just a stage in the relationship. He ain't stalking her!

48. No. No. And no.
Believe or not, I can be completely in love all day, every day AND be discrete about it.

Look, if I want to read sugary pap, I pick up a Hallmark card. The chemicals that are affecting your brain will fade in time and you will begin the true work of love; it will be nothing at all like your op.

Are you a scorpio? I don't understand how you expressing your love has to be the extreme of your op or the extreme of "how much I despise her and hope she gets in a car wreck on the way home". There is a middle ground.

53. Yeah. Me. And fucking SCIENCE.
Stage 1: Lust

This is the first stage of love and is driven by the sex hormones testosterone and oestrogen – in both men and women.

Stage 2: Attraction

This is the amazing time when you are truly love-struck and can think of little else. Scientists think that three main neurotransmitters are involved in this stage; adrenaline, dopamine and serotonin.

Adrenaline

The initial stages of falling for someone activates your stress response, increasing your blood levels of adrenalin and cortisol. This has the charming effect that when you unexpectedly bump into your new love, you start to sweat, your heart races and your mouth goes dry.

Dopamine

Helen Fisher asked newly ‘love struck’ couples to have their brains examined and discovered they have high levels of the neurotransmitter dopamine. This chemical stimulates ‘desire and reward’ by triggering an intense rush of pleasure. It has the same effect on the brain as taking cocaine!

Fisher suggests “couples often show the signs of surging dopamine: increased energy, less need for sleep or food, focused attention and exquisite delight in smallest details of this novel relationship” .

Serotonin

And finally, serotonin. One of love's most important chemicals that may explain why when you’re falling in love, your new lover keeps popping into your thoughts.

Does love change the way you think?
A landmark experiment in Pisa, Italy showed that early love (the attraction phase) really changes the way you think.

Dr Donatella Marazziti, a psychiatrist at the University of Pisa advertised for twenty couples who'd been madly in love for less than six months. She wanted to see if the brain mechanisms that cause you to constantly think about your lover, were related to the brain mechanisms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.

By analysing blood samples from the lovers, Dr Marazitti discovered that serotonin levels of new lovers were equivalent to the low serotonin levels of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder patients.

No. I don't "woo" with science. I don't "woo" at all. Being romantic and seductive is not necessary 24/7 in my relationship. There are a lot of important aspects to love and bonding that have nothing to do with wooing, romancing or seducing.

51. Incidentally, this whole thread reminds me of Latin poetry. Catullus, anyone?
Guy knew how to wax hot over women.

QUAERIS, quot mihi basiationes
tuae, Lesbia, sint satis superque.
quam magnus numerus Libyssae harenae
lasarpiciferis iacet Cyrenis
oraclum Iouis inter aestuosi
et Batti veteris sacrum sepulcrum;
aut quam sidera multa, cum tacet nox,
furtivos hominum vident amores:
tam te basia multa basiare
vesano satis et super Catullo est,
quae nec pernumerare curiosi
possint nec mala fascinare lingua.

Roughly:
You ask, Lesbia, how many kisses of yours are enough and more for me. As great a number as (that of) the Libyan sands which lie in the asafoetida-bearing Cyrene, between the temple of sultry Jove and the sacred tomb of old Battus, or as many as the stars which see, when night is silent, the furtive loves of men. To kiss you so many kisses is enough and more for insane Catullus, (kisses) which the curious are able to neither count nor to curse with an evil tongue.

sick need to hurt and belittle people would enjoy seeing anyone get "smacked around" on an internet message board.

I do not think there would be anyone like that on a progressive, liberal website.

86. It is in watching a thread like this devolve into something it shouldn't have
that makes me sorry I shared so much of my love with MrG. I am sure there are people that would gladly mock that as well. jasonc, whatever mistakes have been made here before, I am sorry you have to deal with this.

Somewhere, I can imagine someone sneering at my folly with MrG.

Only on the internet can someone take something so beautiful and turn it into a train wreck so quickly.

I liked the OP.

There is so much shit in this world, it is nice to see some love expressed, and I feel the same way about you expressing your love for Mr G.

Seriously, I can't understand some of these comments here. I have no use for internet heroes who attack people for no good reason. Makes me want to puke.

93. Well, I'm about half way through the thread
and I can't believe all the red flags and negativity. Jesus! Aren't people engaged to be married SUPPOSED to be head over heels about each other? If I didn't feel the same as you, well, I guess I might not be thinking of marrying her. Really, I wouldn't. Why would anyone want to marry someone they weren't crazy about?

I say enjoy this time as much as you possibly can. It's rare and it's precious. Maybe 10 years from now you'll hire a hit man to take her out, but really, there's plenty of time for that then. No need to keep a killer on retainer just in case. Now's not the time.

She sounds like a great girl and I wish the both of you the best of luck.

I was misspelling "Fiancee" by only putting one "e" on the end of it.

it was an inside joke, thats all.

103. Just in case, I want to clear something up.
My comment above was deleted. It was a sarcastic remark directed at those who appeared to be disgusted by the nice things you said about your fiance. I neglected to include the sarcasm thing. I hope I wasn't misunderstood, but I can see how that was possible. It was meant to be supportive of you and not supportive of the others.
