One day, 250 holes of golf.

Break that down, and it's almost impossible to imagine anyone ever playing more holes in a day at Beechwood Golf Course, a nine-hole layout in the town of Lake.

(snip)

When a light frost melted, Kmiecik was cleared to begin playing at 5:37 a.m. Kmiecik came in 15 hours later but realized he only played 249 holes, so he went back out and, in complete darkness, played hole No. 250.

In between, Kmiecik needed 1,268 strokes, or 45 per nine-hole round. His best score was 42 and his worst was a 50.
