Denise Richards can't support her two kids on tax-free $52,000 per month from Charlie Sheen

May 22, 2008 -- DENISE Richards is a big liar, claim Charlie Sheen's pals - one of whom says she "gets more than enough money from Charlie to never have to work, much less do a reality show that exploits the kids."

Sheen and his friends are furious that Richards taped a reality show debuting this weekend on E! called "It's Complicated," which also features the warring ex-couple's two daughters, Lola and Sam. In her bid to promote the show, Richards went on "Today," "The View" and "Larry King Live" to explain she did it to make money to support her children.

But, "Denise gets $52,000 a month tax-free in child support," a Sheen insider fumed. "Most people in America can figure out how to live on that, but Denise can't?"

In addition to the child support, Richards got $60,000 a month (also tax-free) for two years in alimony - adding up to a whopping $1.44 million. Richards also gets a chunk of Sheen's hot sitcom, "Two and a Half Men," which "eventually will net her up to $25 million," the source said.

Disgusting. I wouldn't do that to my kids, and I would NEED the money.

When I re-read the thread topic and saw MONTH, I thought :wtf:

That's $624,000 a year! :wow:

I thought it said per year.... which is still a crap load of money - way more than lots of families make. But, a month?!?!?! Could you spend that amount of money in a month, every month? I couldn't.

8. agreed. I could do fine on $52K per year, myself. $52K a month, well I could
give all 6 of our siblings (mine and Husband's) a month's pay and still have more than enough to live on esp if it was tax free.

and get my kitchen remodeled, and new flooring put down in my house, and a few other things

70. Sounds like she should learn that clothes can be washed and worn again,
rather than thrown away and replaced. :eyes:

That said, it seems fair that the children should be supported at the highest level reasonable to the supporting parent, and Sheen is capable of a high level of support. As long as there is clear accounting and the money goes to the kids and not to Richards, I don't see a huge problem...

if he claims the alimony and does not pay the income tax on it, she does. It is income to him or her, but not both.

68. Lucy, this is the theme song for your students
What do you do with a B.A. in English,
What is my life going to be?
Four years of college and plenty of knowledge,
Have earned me this useless degree.

I can't pay the bills yet,
'Cause I have no skills yet,
The world is a big scary place.

But somehow I can't shake,
The feeling I might make,
A difference,
To the human race.

Morning, Brian.

Hi, Kate Monster.

How's life?

Disappointing.

What's the matter?

The catering company laid me off.

Even worse than the one from A View to a Kill (Tanya Roberts ?)

Granted, the producers don't look for skilled actresses for Bond girls but most of them can at least escape from the proverbial paper bag. I'm not sure that Denise accomplished even that.

16. I don't have one single problem with the amount of child support and/or alimony that
Denise Richards is receiving. It's not up to me to decide how much is too much, or how much someone needs to live on and raise kids on. Presumably this was settled in a court in their jurisdiction, and this court presumably knows these issues better than any of us do.

However, I would have a problem with her letting their two kids appear on a reality show without Sheen's knowledge. I'm not clear that that's what happened here, but if it did, I can see where Charlie would be pissed. They're his children too, and I think to let them be seen in this way without the approval of both parents is wrong.
