1. One of those "your contract is up and we have a way to....
write you off the show if you ask for too much" episodes. Criminal Minds just did the same thing.

2. Oh, I was hoping that was not that (spoiler)
I think that the director character was milked as much as they could. And her being ill was a hint for several episodes.

But breaking up the team.. I hope that it won't happen. The fact that the new director shredded a piece of paper from his own file could mean something.

If you watch House - last season they played the same game and the characters are still around.

Speaking of House, the way it ended the season was quite depressing.

3. yep. (Spoiler)
That's two people I liked a lot that have left the show.
What do ya'll think of the splitting of the team and what did the new director shred?
Also, I missed the last minute of Criminal Minds so I have no idea what happened.

4. I suspect that the two are related
Gibbs is not going to take these changes and the fact that the director shredded a page may just be what Gibbs is going to investigate.

On the other hand, last year "House" team supposedly was dispersed, yet this year they are still there, though in a peripheral role.

5. Yeah, I watched it.
I had a feeling that Jenny was gonna bite it, but the end of it -- wow!

And don't EVEN get me started on CSI's finale! I'm STILL in shock over that one!

8. All may not be lost (CSI spoiler)
From a TV Guide story:

The likely scenario has Sara returning to Vegas to mourn ex-colleague Warrick, who was shot (and presumably) killed in last week's finale. I say "presumably" because in the current issue of TV Guide, Mendelsohn says Gary Dourdan will be back in the fall — and "not just in flashbacks."

6. Yes I did, it was a shocking ending, but it made sense
The director was dragging down the show, so her departure was welcome. I have been watching the old NCIS episodes on USA. The show has gotten away from its roots. This show used to be about a bunch of raw misfits, being lead by the legendary Gibbs. In time they all started to out grow their roles and Gibbs was reduced to handing out assignments. Besides Tony was getting to old for his role, how long would Israel lend out another agent and Probie really belonged in the Cyber Crimes division. I am looking forward to the fresh start with new charcters. I could see Tony's role being filled by a hot shot cocky ex Navy officer. Someone for Gibbs to keep referring to as that damn squid. The other two roles can pretty much be anyone, but I think this will refresh the show and make it truer to the orginal idea.

7. This is what happens with most shows
They lose their freshness, their innovation and, yes, the actors are getting too old for their roles.

Ziva was added after the first agent was "shot" at the end of the first season and they wanted another woman and a Mossad agent was an interesting twist.

In recent episodes I often would wonder about a Navy link. In most cases it appeared just a plain CSI.
