I just had a chance to directly support one of our soldiers in Iraq!
I was farmed out a couple computers to repair, and this morning I called the owner to discuss what was needed to fix the machines. It turns out one of them belongs to his son who is serving in Iraq at the present. The young man has been awarded the Purple Heart, but was not wounded badly enough to be discharged. In a perfect world, he will be rotating out in three months time.

When I found out about this, I told his father I was going to redo the machine at no cost. He was pleased, but insisted he pay me for my work, so I am charging him one hour of labor.

Don't Bring 'em On... Bring 'em HOME!

How badly does one have to be injured to gte a discharge, if a F%$#ing Purple Heart won't do it?

5. you get a purple heart anytime you "shed blood"
getting grazed by a bullet, but not hit badly enough to require extended rehab will keep you in.
