who was up to the task at hand. he's comported himself admirably at all times.

i went to one of his All-Starr Band shows a few years ago, with Dave Edmunds and Jack Bruce. being a huge DE fan i was psyched, and Bruce just blew me away, incredible, no dis on Clapton but Bruce WAS Cream. i never saw anyone wrangle a 5-string fretless bass like that, and the voice was just like on the radio and records. it was enough to negate the icky Eric Carmen factor :-) also in play that night. Ringo was thoroughly engaging and quite entertaining.

i also saw him at Shea Stadium in 1966. (insert scream here)
