Is putting someone on hide thread the same as putting them on

ignore? Do you consider hide thread to be ignore?

1. Not really.

A hide thread eliminates the entire thread. I use it when there is something not "work-safe" in the header.

An ignore just elininates any posts by the given poster.

2. I did not make myself clear --

there are 3 levels of ignore for any given poster. One of the options is "hide thread". That is to what I am referring.

have to put them on all three ignores before you consider that person to be on ignore?

BTW, i checked out the ignore feature testing someone who had put me on ignore for about ten minutes and that's the only time i've ever used it. I'd rather see what the person is posting anyhow. If a poster does something to warrant using the ignore feature, then they probably won't be lasting much longer on this board.

Actually started a thread announcing the fact. Found out in the same thread a couple others did also! I had no idea who they were! :rofl:

Anyway the one who started that thread has apparently gotten over it, and actually responded to post i made this morning.

8. nope, there are some people who i like who post sports threads

which i immediately hide.

its not cos i dislike them but cos i have no interest in any sport

11. Yes, that is the "hide thread" feature which is wonderful. I am

referring to the ignore thread feature, which I assume, hides all threads started by a certain poster. Sorry, I did not make it clear in the OP. :hi:
