This is pretty trivial (IE vs. Mozilla)
I just noticed that DU is much more vivid and bold (colors and graphics, that is) in Internet Explorer than it is in Mozilla.

A lot easier for us older, more decrepit DUers to read.

3. I tried to use Safari with my Windows XP machine
And it was seriously screwed up, to the point that I had to do a System Restore to get my computer working correctly again. I'd like to try Safari, but apparently there's something I'm doing incorrectly when using it on my PC. Any thoughts?

Try Opera, It's a very good browser.

4. Sorry, but I think that Safari is an ugly program.
My wife has a Mac. In order to keep our DU accounts separate, she uses Firefox and makes me use Safari. We both prefer Firefox by a wide, wide margin.

Both are preferable to IE, however.

15. You should be able to set up separate profiles.
Edited on Thu May-01-08 10:13 PM by qnr
Start it with firefox -ProfileManager and set up a new profile, then decide which one (probably hers, since it has all her stuff in it already), and then do up a new menu item/desktop icon whatever that uses: firefox -P yourprofile (you might have to change the other one to use a -P default).

Edit: forgot some closing parentheses

16. You should try Camino
www.caminobrowser.org

it is built on Gecko, like Firefox, but unlike Firefox, is a native mac app written in cocoa, like any other mac program. Firefox is a PC browser that was ported to the mac, with poor integration into the mac system.

once you try Camino, I doubt you will use Firefox again.

7. I just played with a copy of Ubuntu. Fast, very fast. Nuttin but the Nix's
for me. OSX, Debian,Ubuntu, YDL, is the way to go. MS should have gone UNIX. They fucked up, they are the odd man out.

Safari owes it's code to Konqueror.

When I find that once in the lifetime used laptop, I will have Linux running again.

I used to run Yellow Dog Linux. It was very nice.

9. See if Anti Aliasing is on in Mozilla. Drink Ouzo, everything is more vivid
after a bit of that wonderful nectar.

I just might do a post in the lounge about Ouzo.

10. Oh, God. Ouzo
I was hanging around with some Greek Navy guys in Newport, RI, a long time ago.

Drank a litre of the real shit.

Woke up in a running shower, naked, with my head on a soaked pillow.

Those guys must've carried me two miles.

The last thing I remembered was seeing Heck Ramsey on TV (like I said, it was a long time ago).

I was in Navigation School at the time and the Instructor lined up several desks for me to sleep on, the next day of class.

17. You sip, not gulp. You have it with food. My first experience was
rather brutal,I guess that is why I waited some forty years to try again. It's so drinkable.
