I have a question about protein drinks
Edited on Tue Apr-29-08 09:43 AM by lost-in-nj
My instructor at the gym told me about this one in particular
has anyone heard anything about it?? She says she feels the extra energy.
said we should try it...

Pro-Optimal Whey

I like the idea of a protein drink so I bought a single canister to try

the only thing is I thought it said to use soy milk so I bought that but

it says to use almond milk or

raw milk.

what is raw milk ?? anyone know??

guess I should try Trader Joes for that??
any ideas??

anyway has anyone tried these types of drinks and felt the difference??

thanks

1. Raw milk is milk exactly as it came out of the cow...

unpasteurized, unhomogenized, full-fat.

Avoid raw milk...I grew up on it. The first response of most people when they drink it is to develop bodily function issues...of both ends because it's full of cow antibodies and viruses normally removed during processing. You have to develop a immunity tolerance for it.

edit: added "normally".

4. Trader Joe's has high protein drinks in single serve cans, 21 grams of protein
and it's soy and buying a few cans it's much cheaper than committing to a whole keg-o-powder imo. You might want to try a few cans of different types before you buy anything in large quantities.

5. Try Muscle Milk ...
CytoSport makes it and it is one of the better proteins. 25g per serving and flavors ranging from Chocolate to Pina Colada. I'm on my last Egg Nog flavored one and every flavor I tried tastes great.
