My hand hurts.
I went to have a ganglion cyst drained today. On my wrist. It had gotten to where I couldn't wear a watch anymore (no great loss) and a little uncomfortable. But I think it hurts more now. Hopefully that is just the cortisone injection. I might have been better off hitting it with a Bible. Not really. But it would have given new meaning to the term "Bible-thumping".

1. Sorry to tell you this after the fact,
but I've had one or two of those things over the years and HAVE 'hammered' them with something (maybe just fist?) and been fine. NOW, tho, because I've read of yours, mine may return!

Good luck!

2. I think they don't recommend that approach because you can hurt yourself
But I'm wondering if I shouldn't have just left it alone. It might have gone away by itself, eventually.

6. I guess a friend must have mentioned it to me,
and I didn't seek professional advice where I prolly would have learned that I could hurt myself. Fortunately, I didn't!

AND if yours was bothering you, I think you were right to do something about it.

3. ow, ow, ow, ow.
:(

I hope that is just temporary pain. Pain in the hands is a so totally inconvenient as well as annoying.

5. I feel silly complaining about it.
I know some people have it much worse.
