Lowest Common Denominator: EuroTrip
Maybe I'm really wrong about this movie since I haven't seen it, but from the trailer it appears that Eurotrip is tapping into the neanderthal attitude towards Europeans that the neocons and the administration fanned/exploited in the run-up to the criminal misuse of our armed forces in Iraq. You see Fred Armesan (an otherwise great SNL guy) doing what's supposed to be a perv caricture of Italians and then that painted-faced mime doing a caricture of a Frenchman. Yeah, this film looks classy alright, nutkickings and the whole nine yards.

The end of the trailer contained the following: "they all hate us". Looks like a douchebag of a movie.

3. The poor man's "European Vacation"
And that's a sad state of affairs. I can't believe that a movie could be more bizzare or worthless.

The funny thing is that most of the comedy is dead on, as sad as it is, because I'm sure the writers (as many writers do) have been to Europe on long trips, in their youth.

I think that "European Vacation" was a vapid film, but it really did capture the feeling of a stupid American family touring in Europe.

Perhaps this film has some redeeming qualities as well.

I can say that all the posters for this film on my walk to work have been vandalized and torn down. It seems that others share our feelings.
