Sorta depends on the woman more than how far above the ground the crown of her head is. I guess I can understand people having height preferences, certainly more so than preferences such as eye color or earlobe length (not to put down those who have an undeniable preference for one degree of either), but it's never mattered to me. Maybe part of it's because I'm so tall that even the tallest women I've known are at least an inch or two shorter than me, though I'd hope my male ego was healthy enough to not feel threatened if I was a foot shorter than I am and going out with a woman who was taller than me. My height range among women-of-past-romantic-significance was 5'10" to about 4'11", and everything seemed to work out even when I was a foot and a half taller than the woman.

As for sexy petite women, this thread's provided ample evidence of that...
