My future mom-in-law sends me some odd shit

A couple weeks ago, she sent this powerpoint: "Ten things God won't ask on that day" complete with creepy music and imagery.

I mean, i guess the sentiments are nice -- but what the heck is going on here?

And here?

1. You are entering Mmmmmother in law HELL!
I have one.

She isn't weird enough to send me anything like the thing you have there... (I am the Mother of her only 2 grandchildren which makes me ultra important to her.)

She sends me the "Pass this along to 15 friends and you will be enveloped in blah-dee-blah-deeeee-blah hocus pocus crap" with pictures of kittens and puppies and babies of all ilks.... It is a sugar-coated romp through Candy Land. Most of these chain emails come with lots of dancing animated giff files and hokey muzak.

I finally had to tell her that if she ever wanted me to talk to her, she would need to take me off the list.

We live 7 hours away and so we all get along really well.

What that woman sent to you is INSANE.

Good luck.

2. I actually like the art...

for apocalyptic themed art, it's not terrible.

Also, I kinda like the message; it's positive and reinforces good liberal values like compassion and charity. I mean I'm an atheist, so I don't buy into the whole God asking questions thing...but if looked at from a "Did you live a meaningful life which made the world a better place?" POV, it kinda rocks. It just needs to be a mpeg format with some prog. rock.

Edited to add to.

6. I agree about the message

I'm not a religious person, and i think she's kinda hoping that i've just been hiding my religious beliefs... but she's not an in-your-face kind of Christian, so it's no biggie. I just thought it was pretty bizarre!

4. My grandma will send my mom interesting things sometimes...
mostly because they're both fans of mystery novels.

One day I came home and saw a new mystery book lying on the sofa entitled "How to murder a mother-in-law." I asked my mom if that was educational reading, and she said, "Oh, Grandma sent that to me. She thought I'd like it."

*blinkblink* "Which grandma?"

"My mother-in-law."

Nice to know that some in-laws actually have a sense of humor.
