I definitely agree with your comments. I can't believe someone was crazy enough to actually say that shit.

Having some basic understanding of white privilage is just the very minimum anyone can do if they claim to understand and oppose racim.

Unfortunately, posts about Straight Privilage get the same kind of stupid responses from some people who don't think they're homophobic. And posts about Male Privilage get the same responses from people who think they aren't sexist.

People who benefit from bigotry frequently refuse to see it or believe it. :(

I've had someone try to 'inform' me about my priviledge and the list posted was just RIDICULOUS. It basically applied only to rich white people, a group of which I am not a member. :P This list, however, is a fairly reasonable one. Obviously each of us have our own unique situations and experiences and so some things may apply less strongly or not at all, but in general that list is fairly succinct.
