U S Death Toll in Iraq Reached 4,000

"BAGHDAD - The overall U.S. death toll in Iraq rose to 4,000 after four soldiers were killed in a roadside bombing in Baghdad, a grim milestone that is likely to fuel calls for the withdrawal of American forces as the war enters its sixth year."

I think this says it all...

3. Sad, lizzie.
It feels as if the soul of the country is stretched paper thin, doesn't it?

6. MSNBC this morning even tried to downplay it.
The title below the correspondent read "Iraq deaths just 7% of Vietnam total."

As if that made them acceptable...

8. Tonight
I'll light my own candle.

These 4,000 American lives and 90,000 Iraqi lives will not just afterthought...

7. B*sh must be thrilled.
The more people who die in his misbegotten excuse for a war, the more he seems to think it was the right thing to do.
