The Forbidden Kingdom - new kung fu epic, coming next month
Teams Jet Li & Jackie Chan together, both playing Chinese heroes of Legend (Li plays the Monkey King) and the fight scenes are choreographed by the legendary Yuen Woo Ping

Looks like it has some decent comedy & some potentially good martial arts. Plus, the evil villainess looks pretty hot (played by Bing Bing Li... whom I've never heard of before)

Here is a pic of Li - the white hair almost makes her look Drowish:

Here is the trailer (you'll have to click which version you want at the link...)

1. If it has American style over-edited fight scenes we probably won't bother with it.

2. He's done Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, plus
the Matrix movies and the Kill Bill movies, and some kung fu classics like Drunken Master & Iron Monkey.

3. hmmmm
as the other poster said, I hate this new kind of special effect fight-scene kung fu films, but with Jackie Chan in it, I think I'll give it a shot, especially since he'd said a few years ago that he was retiring from acting. I really loved his old movies, especially the funny ones like Rumble in the Bronx, and Jet Li was great in the "Once Upon a Time in China" movies.

5. no problem
a few folks on DU will get it... but, the drow are are race of evil elves that have jet black skin and white hair. The evil villainess in the movie has long white hair as well.

Here is a drow elf:

8. Who's directing?
It couldn't possibly be Zhang Yimou: they would have given his name top billing.

I'll probably go see it anyway, because I'd watch Jet Li in anything. Drooool.
