However the event of a few years ago when my (rather younger than me)girlfriend dumped me on Valentines day with the pronouncment that her husband (first I had heard of him!)was getting out of prison & comming home!

... but that's ok. On Val Day, I gather my single friends together, and we all go out to a restaurant together and have a great time; we never even think about being valentine-less when we're loudly talking about Democratic politics and slamming Dubya and his henchmen!!!
