During what movie (in a theater) did you fall asleep?
I fell asleep during "Patton" (1970). I was really tired but a friend called me and wanted to know if I wanted to go see it. I reluctantly said "yes," and fell asleep sometime during Patton's charge toward the Rhine

I do like the movie and George C Scott--I was just really tired. :boring:

2. The first "Lord of the Rings" is the only one I can think of
And it wasn't really that it was that bad, though I probably wouldn't have gone to see it if I hadn't been with friends who wanted to; I was just really tired. I don't think I slept more than about five minutes, though, 'cause it was loud!

11. I think I fell asleep during the 2nd one....
If that's the one with the walking trees.

I kept waking up and there they were,
STILL in those fucking TREES!

Really, it seemed to last FOREVER!

9. Curious George...
The music was just begging for me to fall asleep. So I did. MrG did too and even BabyG's lids were heavy. It's a sedative if you are ever having trouble falling asleep.

13. The movie with Brad Pitt & Anthony Hopkins where Pitt played Death
Forgot what it was called, but it was like a sleeping pill for me - I nodded off 15 minutes into the movie and woke up with a few minutes left to my ex-wife crying her eyes out at the end... (not crying that I was sleeping, but crying because of the movie)

25. Same experience here...
My mom, a friend of hers and I went to see it when I was young. All three of us fell asleep at some point throughout the movie. I remember at one point closing my eyes and there was a tree on the screen...just a tree. I opened my eyes and we were still looking at the same frickin tree. I know it probably wasn't more than a minute but I remember at the moment, I closed my eyes again and didn't wake up again until my mom shook me when it was over.

23. 'Sudden Impact'
MrMouse really likes Eastwood films and normally I can stay awake during movies but the incredibly bad acting by Sondra Locke just put me to sleep.

24. The Color Purple (1985)... I slept through most of it. All I knew for
a long time was that Celie's children went away when they were very young, and when I woke up, they had just returned home. The stuff that happened in the middle was unknown to me for many years.

for some reason, i thought it was a good idea to catch the early matinée (started at like 10:30 a.m.) with one friend and then a 10 p.m. or so showing later that night with my boyfriend. i had already seen it going into the matinée and i was just so damn tired by the time i started it that night that i just passed right out

it wasn't even that great a movie anyway

was that Cher movie. I think it was called Moonstruck or something like that. I also fell asleep during Gladiator. That one was a little embarrassing. I was on my second date with my partner.
