For the love of the Flying Spagheti Monster
Just got done watching Nightline and there was a preview of Wednesday's show about a fundy group that offers "Biblically Correct Tours" of natural history and science museums.

I will tune in but I expect that I will be outraged as I saw no mention of The Great Noodly One.

1. Let me guess...
All the members of the tour wear special glasses, and the guide has a remote control. When he hits a button, the glasses *snap* become opaque.

"Okay, everybody, here we have the ancient pyramids of Egypt, and then we have <beep> temptations leading to the eternal pits of Hell. Walk towards my voice, we're walking, we're walking, we're walking, okay <beep> now here is the Grand Canyon. My, it's grand, isn't it. Now, <beep> let's folow my voice past the Satan's timeline and on to African tribal life, and we're walking, walking, walking..."

4. Well, it was just as grotesque as I expected
http://abcnews.go.com/Nightline/FaithMatters/story?id=4467337&page=1">During Private Museum Tours, Denver Children Learn About Creationism

Brainwashing just like the Sean Astin character on the earlier Law and Order.

Jack asked, "If this creature (TRex) was designed to eat meat from the very start, what would he have to do until Adam and Eve sinned and death entered the world? What would he have to do?"

The children replied in chorus, "Starve."

"Fast and pray for The Fall. Is that likely?" Jack asked. "The answer is, everyone look at me and say, 'No.' Try that with me.'"

"No!" the children replied.

6. The War on Science continues unabated I see
Anyone who doesn't think there is no difference in Dem A or Dem B from the neocons is NOT paying attention.
This kind of crap is as big or bigger danger than any terrorist, IMO.

11. people are free to believe all kinds of stupid things, obviously
But I object to indoctrination that borders on brainwashing. Using peer pressure, mindless chanting and berating little kids is not teaching.

14. For the love of God! Are these people really buying this stuff!
Come on are they really suggesting that God would follow mans rules of time and space. And that God told us everything in the bible. If he tole us everything we would be a bunch of really broad creatures.
