Well, I survived dinner out with my family.
My stepdad got drunk and loud, and told a lot of stories that started out "when I was in prison." My sister got really embarrassed and didn't talk much for once. Mom had a headache that was probably matrimonial in origin.

Contrary to rumor started by a certain large man in square pants, I had some pasta with broccoli and sundried tomatoes.

4. Sounds like some of my family dinners when I was a kid, minus
the "when I was in prison" part.

Families, huh?

6. You survived...that's the main thing...

And hopefully won't have to do it again for awhile (?)
My mother and (very republican) stepfather are visiting this coming weekend for Easter...I can't figure out what's easier...enduring their visit, or stabbing myself in the thigh repeatedly...right now I'm scanning for sharp objects.

8. That sounds like some of my family.
You have my sympathy and so does your mother. I've had a headache all week. I believe mine is matrimonial in origin as well. NOT having a wife is giving me a headache.

Hope your mom starts feeling better soon. Will you give her one of these for me?
