How long are tax refunds taking this year?

We filed electronically over two weeks ago and have been eagerly watching our checking account for a large deposit.

4. well, I filed on 2/2... I think the earlier you file, the quicker they come back

I had my state refund 3 days later.

My federal return took about 2.5 weeks.

My Federal took about 2 weeks (filed electronically). I'd say your due for your refund any day now..

7. What is a tax refund????

Seems I vaguely remember those from years and years ago when I qualified for EIC. Since my kids have been grown, I have been thrilled senseless if I have to pay less than $1,000 more at the end of a year.

Can you say AMT? I knew you could. I expect to hear from our accountant any day now on our damages for the year (and yes, we increase our withholdings every single year) However, we still have to file separately so that the total money we owe, combined, is not as giganitc as it could be if we file together. Our account calculates both ways so w get the better "deal"...whatever THAT is

My State should be deposited any minute. My Fed won't come until the first week of April.

Like if you make too little or only get Social Security.

It tells you how at irs.gov, so you can recieve your Stimulus Package money.

Still waiting on the fed one, been about 10 days.

17. Mine took less than 2 weeks... but i filed at the first of February.

Even for electronic filing/direct deposit, the later you wait, the longer it takes.

Go to irs.gov, click "where's my refund", and you can check on their progress, and maybe even get the date you'll receive your money.
