Actually, I smirked. I can't figure out why being adopted is so bad. I knew a family with adopted children once. I told the daughter that many if not most children happen by accident or despite planning. An adopted child never has to wonder about that because her parents had to go through quite a bit of effort to be allowed to adopt her.
