I have some Percocets left over from my surgery

So , I decided to try getting high of them , you know , My philosophy is to experience everything in life at least once.

I am taking 3 pills , thats 15 mg of oxyxodone and 1000 mg of tylenol (still below the 4000 mg daily limit, too lazy to do a cold water extraction)

I saw the bit you're talking about in Trainspotting. And I'll tell ya, I had to be on Percocet when I sprained my neck. I got off it quickly because I hated the way it felt. Plus there was the dry-mouth thing.

41. Seconded on the side effects of Percocet. I have about 60 of them left from

the August 2007 - February 2008 cracked tooth experience. (It was finally extracted on 2/20) The experience was expensive and didn't work out the way I wanted it to.

But I survived.

I used to take the Percocet 1/2 at a time with TWO glasses of prune juice.

But I've had personal experience where I was on Fentanyl (sp?) and Morphine (both didn't kill my pain) while having severe pain and diarrhea (again, sp?) from my Lupus, and I WISHED that would happen... but it didn't.

I kept having to go "void" myself as you said it - which makes it sound better than the wording I had in my mind - which is hell when you have trouble moving through the purple haze to find the bathroom. If only I'd gotten plugged up!

And I put a warning since I was gonna discuss my bowels voiding - just in case someone is like eating while reading or whatever.

Three percocets will probably make you sleepy much more than they'd make you buzzy. And if you take them on an empty stomach, they'll make you feel like utter and complete shit.

The other poster who said save 'em is right. It's nice to have a few of those around for unexpected pain that needs relievin'.

29. I have some leftover Vicoden from my abdominal surgeries last spring .

I tried one when I had a frozen shoulder (very painful) in December. It did nothing for the pain. I got better results from Ibuprofen and cold packs, plus p.t.

I simply don't understand the desire to take a drug if you don't need it. I needed the Vicoden for a while when I was recovering from surgery but when the pain went away I had no yearning to take one.

22. I suffer from chronic pain, and on the rare occasions that I get Percocet

or even Lortab, I cut each pill into 4-6 pieces in order to take a tiny "maintenance" dose every 4 hours or so, because if I took them whole, they'd be gone and the pain would still be there. I get them a couple of times a year, if I'm lucky, because doctors are so paranoid about pain meds these days.

If you're going to abuse pain medication, please don't brag about it here. It's nothing short of a slap in the face to those of us who suffer from unrelieved pain, and can't get medicine because of the abusers out there.

people like ME who depend on opioid medications to get through each hideous day, dealing with our chronic pain.

Every time some asshole like you decides to have "fun" with the drugs that we chronic pain people need every bit as badly as people with diabetes need insulin, you cheapen the struggle that we go through, and make it harder for us to get the medicine we need.

We have enough problems with our doctors getting pressure from the fucking DEA, without people like YOU making it worse.
