And a rarely heard one at that!

What movies do you give a couple extra points for because of musical selection? ANd what tune?

2. Well, I didn't really care for Something About Mary but they *did* use Jonathan Richman

(even had him in the movie) so I couldn't hate it.

Conversely I really loved Garden State and the Shins only made it better.

3. With VU, Belle & Sebastian & Cat Power. Very good.

it made the movie more enjoyable. That Buddy Holly track isn't available commercially. I have two studio albums and a greatest hits and it isn't on any of them. I even did an amazon.com search for it. Juno sdtk is the only place to find it.

For movies with great soundtracks see nearly anything directed by Scorsese, Tarantino or Wes Anderson.

Goodfellas, Reservoir Dogs and The Royal Tenenbaums.

5. I thought that too. It's just more sparse.
I love how it's just Buddy and his guitar. It seems to be more emotional.

7. And the silent hiss on it
You can tell it was recorded in a garage or something and sounds more intimate and such.

8. The Jackal, for Massive Attack in the opening title sequence
and for a change it wasn't the now overused "Angel". It was Superpredators.

Fitting.

9. Even though it was an obvious choice, the use of "Atmosphere" at the end of Control was inspired
Fight Club scored points for "Where Is My Mind?" not just because it's Pixies, but because it was a complete switch after an entire score of electronic music by the Dust Brothers.

Inland Empire's use of "Black Tambourine" by Beck and "The Locomotion" were both great and very odd.
