Coffee helps my back pain

I noticed this the other day. A couple days, I made a pot of coffee in the AM. On those days, my back was feeling better than the days I didn't have coffee.

Yesterday, I was in pain all morning - the nerve running down my left leg was just really throbbing. So as an experiment, I made some coffee. Half an hour later, the leg was fine. Good enough to get four hours sleep, which is more than I've had in a week.

Of course, coffee itself makes sleep more difficult, but man, what a discovery! I just hope my stomach can take a diet of ibuprofen and coffee.

1. Caffeine is added to a lot of prescription pain relievers, like Fiorcet.

2. Eat a little something with the Ibuprofen

Even if it's just a cracker or two. That stuff's murder on an empty stomach. The caffeine augments the action of the Ibuprofen, but can also be rough on an empty stomach, so eat a snack along with it.

If I'm not "up to par", I will take aspirin and drink coffee; perfect for hangovers.
