...forget where other states were, but Colorado and Utah were pretty strong contenders for the worst.

I wouldn't say Arizona's the worst, but it's certainly in the top (bottom?) five.

Its natural beauty is really the only thing saving it from being a complete waste of space. There's some amazing sunsets here.
