This is what I got my girlfriend for her birthday. His name is Wilbur!

My lovely lady and her newest pet

Wilbur looks a little uncomfortable here

All of us together!

1. I had a friend in college who had a couple of chinchillas
named Fizzgig and Tanis. Smart little buggers too.

3. My sister used to breed them for extra income while she was pregnant.
They are cute and soft.. And really hard to catch if you let one run around your house. Fucking hide-a-bed. I had some luck taming them with extending my arm palm up into the cage and putting some food on the middle of my forearm.

6. They are the softest thing I have ever touched.
I would want a blanket made from them if you didn't have to kill a thousand of them to make it. Seriously. Fucking .Soft

8. GDP has turned me into a bitter, wretched person.
All I could do was remember the chinchilla coat I had as a kid. Sorry. Wilbur is much cuter than the coat ever was.
