Bed 1, Gym 0
So for Valentine's Day my wife :loveya: got US a mattress pad and ME a big square pillow. We stayed at a local Marriott a few weeks ago :P while the in-laws watched our little girl and we absolutely LOVED the bed in the hotel room. This was the second stay there the other being for a friend's wedding.

So last night the bed was AWESOME just like sleeping on a cloud.

The plan is to get up at 4:30 and get to the gym at 5 (not running outdoors in what has been bitterly cold weather) and then back home by 6 to get the little one up and get going.

So I am just SNOOOOOOZING and I wake up (never use an alarm-never needed one) ....look at the clock .....5:06..... roll over and back to sleep for 54 more blissful minutes.

Bed 1
Gym 0

We'll see what happens on Monday.

While calling me a "cop, meth-head trucker, taxi driver, or person still drunk."

20. This 'meth-head trucker' takes offense to that
The usage of drugs and/or alcohol by CDL holders in the U.S. and Canada is far exceeded by the general population. Professional drivers are all drug-tested at hire, subject to random drug testing, and are tested any time there is an incident (however minor or who was at fault).

Fail once and bye-bye driving career.

If you came along on a ride with me, late at night, I'll show you how many impaired auto drivers there are, and how scared truckers are of them. Don't think for one minute the reason drunks get pulled over on the interstate wasn't because some trucker called your ass in to the cops.

I sure don't want my truck and trailer which cost me close to 150K and loaded with a million dollars worth of product hit by some dumbass drunk or stoned four-wheeler.

I've done it many, many times, and I'm not the only one. Drive stupid around a truck, and you will get ratted out to the closest LEO, by radio or cell phone.

And if it wasn't for 'meth-head truckers' driving all night, any day of the week, in any kind of weather or traffic, you would start to starve in a week.

Sorry about the rant, but go make sweeping ignorant statements about some other group, because it pisses me off mightily every time I hear or read crap like this.

Never hear anything about 'meth-head pilots', do you?

22. Thanks for the platitude
Says so much.

And my BP is fine.
It has to be.
It's tested on a regular basis in order to maintain my CDL.
Like all the other professional drivers.

Have a nice day.

12. So, at 4:30, when you're looking at another 2 hours
before daybreak, how do you not let that get to your head? How to you muster the drive to do it? I thought I was a badass for getting up at 6:20 for the gym. You're making me look bad.

19. 90 minutes really
Back this time last year when I was HUGE and horribly out of shape I signed up for the Richmond Marathon and made a deal with my wife-No matter what I do I will be back by 6AM to get our girl up (I sit on the couch with her until she really wakes up and gets going--THE BEST PART OF MY DAY) so..... in order to go for a say 5 miler at 10minutes per and have some time to cool down I have to be out the door at 5 which means I get up at 4:30 coffee one of the three S's ;-) then stretch and get out the door.

Like I posted up thread Wednesday is my long day. I never did a 10 miler like the training called for but I have an 8 miler built in for Wednesday...do the math... I have to be up at 3:30. This mattress thing is not going to make that very easy.

Hell as long as you are actually going to the gym you are doing great.
