1. Sad for Sony. Betamax was superior to VHS.
In fact Beta was used professionally for years after VHS took over the consumer market.

12. We had one of those in my house on a PARTY LINE.
And they were seriously heavy. You could throw your back out picking that thing up to clean under it.
