I have been known to complain about the sclerotic mix on Derek and the Dominos' Layla, but it does accurately reflect the vibe.

And you gotta love the man who introduced the world to the 8 track recording. Can I hear a hell yeah for Ray Charles? Booker T & the MGs? Talkin' bout bringing people together.

I was kinda hoping those that didn't know him would use the google.

In addition to his work with music, he studied physics at Columbia, and was working at their lab when they contributed to the Manhattan Project.
