and no it isn't a non-denominational or Assemblies of God Church--- It's a Methodist Church--no snake handling either :P

even though they seem to pattern their worship after that, there is no hell fire and brimstone sermon

just a lot of singing

a keyboard, bass, electric guitar, drums, and the two girls with tambourines doing back up vocals

and he big screen with words scrolling down it

for 40 min

oh brother, this is so not what I've ever gone to before

I told a friend I'd check it out again with him.

7. My hometown Methodist Church was very similar! Often times

the band Sunday AM was better than the one I saw Saturday PM! Yeah the guitar player wandered into wankery once in a while, but they were a really good band.

I have only been to church a couple of times since I moved. If we had a rockin' band and a ventriloquist with a monkey like my old church I'd probably be there every Sunday.
