I just devoured a pound of top round beef so rare, touching it made it bleed. Ask me anything.

I'm bored and felt like padding my post count. Sue me.

Edit: Seriously, I'm surprised it didn't moo.

7. Sauteed in olive oil as-is. Or as-was, if you want to be technical about the grammar.

8. Not my style.
I like it rare enough to bleed in my mouth, but I'm not going to down the excess blood.

10. Did you consider pancakes?
I thought about pancakes a long time tonight. Pancakes made with white cake mix.

Would I need to add anything special to the mix or just thin it enough to make it pourable?

Should I fry them in spray-on oil or in butter?

Would they really taste appreciably different from the pancakes I make from scratch?

Would they taste better than a cake baked from the mix?

Should I eat them with maple syrup or spread them with peach preserves?

If I'm considering fruit, why not fresh fruit? Only fruits in the house are apples and oranges. Do I feel like going to the effort to peel and core and cook down apples in cinnamon syrup? Do I have stuff to make the syrup?

If not fresh fruit how about canned? I have fruit cocktail and pineapple chunks. Should I just stick to the peach preserves idea?

Or if not fruit how about chocolate sauce? Should I just squirt Hershey's syrup on the pancakes or make a glaze? Wouldn't chocolate kind of call for whipped cream or ice cream, which I don't have?

I sat around thinking about pancakes while I read The Onion and waited for the SOTU address to end so I could safely turn on the TV. Then I looked at yesterday's dishes still sitting in the kitchen and just heated some leftover sketti.

It was fine.

12. Sounds so complicated!
I think pancake mix and maple syrup is the best. All that work with fruit, making special syrup, and whipped cream sounds tiresome for just a home cooked breakfast

And Village Inn is the best for simple pancakes! And you can get a steak, hash browns, and some eggs with it. Let them do the work for the extra fruit or fancy syrup on the pancakes.
