Road Trip!
Too restless to stay at home. The holiday decorations are all stacked in the dining room. Lelapin had an interview yesterday and if she gets the job, she'll be moving into an apartment with a couple friends. Empty nest sooner than I expected.

I've been sorting through stuff to move this summer as I can't afford to live here another winter unless I find a roommate. A co-worker told me of a smaller house closer to my job that might work out for a year or two. By then Lelapin will be done with college and I can move anywhere I want... Oh goody...

I've struggled to make a life here for years now. It's not happening.

So, I'm getting in the car and driving. I have my AAA card, cell phone and cds. Don't know where I'm heading yet, but I'll be back later today.

I don't know why I can't just stay put. :-(

We play tomorrow morning at 8:30. Otherwise, it would be very tempting to come help work at the store this weekend.

14. Tell us about your trip when you get back
Sometimes driving helps you zone out and you get to do some deep thinking. But only if it's easy driving, not stop and go with a lot of traffic.

16. I'm back. No great stories to tell.
Funny thing. I drove 100 miles and nothing has changed, except the amount of fuel in my gas tank. I don't know why I feel the need to keep moving. Well, actually, I do. :-(
