Seeking to buy some CFL light bulbs
I've looked through yahoo & google search for a specific type of CFL light bulb - it is the globe style G25 (or G 25)

The old style ones we have in our house are 100 Watts, meaning I'd need a CFL that is 26-29 watts. But, I have not found any rated higher than 60 Watts of output.

any good online places to order? I've looked at several places online and they seem a disorganized jumble when it comes to style, wattage, etc listings.

I'd probably also like to find some similar ones for those "canned" recessed lights, but I'm not sure what they're called.

1. I was going to suggest 1000 bulbs
but I see the largest they have is 14W

I haven't found any floods that I've been happy with. I might try an LED style to see if that works.

3. I'm not sure a larger wattage one is made
at this time. I could be wrong.

Thanks for checking, though.

2. My pledge is on track.
As of yesterday all our bulbs are now "green" except the overhead recessed ones. The fixtures inside & out are all switched; the nightlights are LED/auto-light-sensored. I'm not sure about the recessed bulbs of which you speak, but I believe I saw a style yesterday suitable for the recessed "floods" at Home Despot (spelling intended). We have one of those recessed floods in the high ceiling of our dining area (three in kitchen/one at top of stairs). When we asked about installing a ceiling fan/light, management said the same - too bad, one's going in for better circulation of heated/cooled air. Also, considering a "Wall of Fire" grate--http://gratewalloffire.googlepages.com/ for our WB fireplace. Don't think management would upgrade it with an insert or glass screen, though they replaced perfectly good fencing on the patio, thereby, ruining my rose/perenniel garden.

I asked my property management about installing programmable thermostats, and they said sure, YOU can install or have one installed, but they would not be responsible for providing support should your heat/heat pump/AC fail. Now to convince them to allow quality storm/screen doors on the entrances.

4. No, a ~15W cfl bulb should do for a 100W tungsten bulb.
An 11W cfl bulb will do for a 60W tungsten bulb.

5. Go to Home Depot. Really. They even have daylight-spectrum CFLs, at good prices.
