Have I landed in a parallel time/universe?

It's been a couple months since we ordered pizza (pickup, not delivery). Last time we ordered...2 medium supremes...the bill was $18.

Tonight we called for pizza, same place, same parameters and got quoted $32. Told them they could keep it.

Is it this way everywhere? I know things are going up, but that much? that fast? Costco's large pizza with everything, and lot of it, has gone up $2.00. (There are more toppings on their large pizza than on 2 Pizza Hut mediums)

3. Gas was higher the last time we ordered pizza

than it is today...and today the pizza is almost double the price.
