Does anyone else count calories???
I was at the store today and I do count calorie content on my food....
not feeling well I was looking for some comfort food..... I LOVE
Marie Callenders Pot Pies.... you can nuke them and they brown, the flavor is awesome... so I found them today and was going to buy one.. looked at the calorie content and almost fainted....

1 pot pie 640 calories....

well if that is ALL I ate then I could have it.....

but WOW
I ate alot of crap when I wasn't paying attention.....

1. I've really been trying to myself
mainly because my meds fuck with my metabolism and I end up gaining a shitload of weight, even though I exercise every day and try to curb my portions and eat fairly healthily.

I had to give up a couple of things I really like, though, just because the calorie/fat count was off the charts. Why are all the delicious things bad for you?

3. the other fun thing to do is check out sodium content...
especially on frozen foods. Those Bertoli, and "Voila" and other bagged, frozen pasta dinners have HUGE amounts of salt. You might as well just ingest a salt block. Yuk.

I do watch what I eat - slower metabolism requires that I pay more attention. Starting a 5 day, 500 calorie thing so I can drop my 5lb holiday weigh gain.

6. Your right....
the salt content is usually high

when there is an expiration date in the year 2011
you know SOMETHING is keeping the food "fresh"
