When I managed an apartment building, a drunk angry tenant once yelled at me that she was leaving. I turned to a neighbor "Did you hear that?" "Yep." The next morning I gave Mrs. Drunk and Angry a letter politely thanking her for her verbal notice of intent to vacate, and a 30 day notice so we could go straight to evictions if she changed her mind. If only more message boards would do the equivalent. :D
