I will be so glad when I have finished my thesis
I have been in grad school 7 years. Well to be fair it is part-time and I have a fulltime job. Still, if I had gotten off my butt sooner I would have been done already. Now I am under a lot of pressure (self-imposed) to wrap things up b February. I have to if I am to graduate in May. Anything else is unthinkable.

I have my very first presentation at a scientific meeting in a week. I am a little nervous; I am sure I will be more nervous the close it gets. I've never done this before and some people (scientists and other critics) can be very harsh if they don't agree with your conclusions. My project is not all that great and my results are no big deal but I guess it doesn't have to be earth-shattering. It's just important to get this under my belt. Good experience to put on a resume. So I've been working like a dog on this.

My apartment is a pig sty. I've apparently given up on doing the dishes. I should just buy paper plates. It bothers me but not enough to actually do something about it.

My sister is in Texas now actually (Dallas) and we are supposed to meet in Austin this weekend. But I don't really feel I have the time and I will probably be a big drag the whole time.

I hear you about thesis work...

I remember when my husband was working on his...

Maybe you might consider putting off your trip until you've gotten a bit more done?

And then you can relax and truly enjoy yourself!

Hang in there, baby...Relief is coming!

On edit: mispelling
