Bookworm DUers: what music do you listen to when reading?
or studying?

I usually enjoy jazz and classical but today I've got The Cure playing. Works well.

How 'bout y'all?

1. I've gotten to the point where I prefer not to have anything playing while I'm reading
Especially if I am concentrating on it.

But then I've never been a multitasker.

3. I can't read with much background noise.
I have a bit of a hearing difficulty, so I have to actively work at understanding what I'm hearing, and I have a very hard time turning that off and just having pleasant background noise, so I can't really focus on what I'm reading if there's music playing.

6. Either none, or downtempo/trip-hop type stuff.
DJ Shadow, Massive Attack, etc. Occasionally post-rock like Explosions in the Sky.

8. Nothing - if I want to listen to something I like, then I can't really
do anything else - I don't like 'background' music. I'm either listening, or reading, but not both.

9. As much as I love to listen to music, I need silence when I
read or study.
